Ask for the product-specific plan
Before treatment, ask what is being applied and what guidance you need to follow. Mention pets, planting, ponds, rainwater collection and nearby surfaces. Any instructions should follow the product label and the proposed working method.
This guide is not a mixing or application manual. Product-specific restrictions cannot be replaced by generic website advice. Let the person carrying out the work explain the arrangements and any temporary limits on using the area.
What will the roof look like afterwards?
The roof’s appearance after removal may differ from its appearance after a treatment has had time to act. Age-related colour changes and permanent staining can remain. Ask which changes are reasonably expected on your roof and over what period, without assuming a precise universal timetable.
Photographs taken from the same safe ground-level position can help you compare the condition over time. Keep the date and lighting reasonably consistent, and note whether the surface is wet or dry.
Does treatment guarantee that moss never returns?
Do not assume that it does. The client’s existing guarantee wording is incomplete, so this site does not offer a ten-year or permanent moss-free promise. Any guarantee should be provided with clear written conditions before you rely on it.
Maintenance should be discussed in relation to the roof and its surroundings. Ask what signs would justify a review and whether a later treatment would be a separate charge.
