Mention existing leaks, loose tiles or recent repairs. Cleaning cannot repair a roof, and a defect may need another trade’s attention first.

The working position and access arrangements should be discussed for the property. Do not assume that a long-reach pole can reach every pitch from the ground. Ask how the work area will be set up and how the surrounding surfaces will be protected.
