Keep the agreed scope close to hand
Aftercare depends on what was done. Moss removal alone, removal followed by treatment and a combined roof-and-gutter clean are different jobs. Keep the quotation and any written instructions so you know which stages were included.
Ask David which changes to expect immediately and which may develop later. The roof’s age, original finish and staining influence its appearance, so a clean does not mean every tile will have an identical colour.
Observe from a safe place
Ground-level photographs are enough for a basic record. Use the same position where practical and note the date. Compare similar conditions: a wet roof and a dry roof can look quite different.
You do not need to walk on the roof or climb a ladder to monitor the result. If something concerns you, describe it and send a photograph taken safely.
Follow treatment-specific guidance
If a biocide was applied, follow the instructions supplied for that product and the property. Ask about pets, plants, rainwater collection and the use of nearby outdoor areas before treatment, rather than relying on a generic online timetable.

Report a persistent rainwater problem clearly
If a gutter still overflows, note the exact point and the weather conditions. A failed joint or other defect may require repair even after debris has been cleared. Tell the contractor what you observed and refer to the agreed scope.

Plan a review around the property
There is no universal maintenance interval promised on this site. Ask what signs would justify a review, what future work might involve and whether a return visit is included or separately quoted. Any guarantee should have clear written terms.
